A little package from 'madeit'.

I love getting parcels...and how excited was I when I found this package in my letterbox today. My purchase from Red Punch Buggy had arrived! I tore haphazardly at the bubble wrap envelope and this is what I found inside....

A little package wrapped in brown paper with red and white twine tied into a gorgeous little bow with the cutest tag, also tucked inside was a pretty white card with a lovely personal handwritten note and a really cool business much as I was excited to get inside the brown parcel, I just stood there for a while admiring the packaging - I loved it; and this I thought was so deserving of a photo... so thank you to the very talented Vicki Weetman for making my day!

Oh and if you think the packaging is awesome...wait 'til you see what was inside!

How simply gorgeous is this packaging!

...and in the package -  this sweet and unique little dish
It will be home to my toe rings; oh and they love it too!

Look what came in the mail for me!
My head is spinning with ideas for these gorgeous pieces of handprinted calico.
The print is an original handcarved linocut design printed on an antique tabletop printer!
How cool is that...and how beautiful are these colours!

I am loving my growing stash of beautiful cotton fabrics.
I just happened accross this jungle print quilting cotton and it was love at first site...I loved the look, the feel and the quality.

Here is what I made with it....
These items will be available in my madeit shop on Monday, January 30

45 X 45CM

The heart is quilted, the black yo yo is handmade by me and the gorgeous silver metal button is from Voodoo Rabbit.

Loving the button!

I put a 3cm mitred hem on my liners and do a double row of top stitching...this helps the liners to keep their shape after washing so you are still have a nice square!
I have lots more in my 'madeit' shop.

The covers are approximately 45 x 45cm not including the 3cm border.
I love the way these have turned out!

couldn't resist... JUNGLE CAT

Adding Jungle Cat to my calico cat covers...her bow is black: I use Beresford ribbon for my bows, it washes well and has a lovely sturdy quality.
